LANSING, Mich. — After listening to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s 2019 State of the State address on Tuesday night, Sen. Michael D. MacDonald, R-Macomb Township, issued the following statement:
“We should be proud of how much our state has improved, yet understand that Michigan still faces challenges that must be addressed.
“Our future depends on us making Michigan and Macomb County the best place for families to live, talent to prosper and job creators to thrive.
“I look forward to working with the governor to ensure every Michigan student and worker is prepared for a successful career, every family has clean drinking water, and every driver has access to affordable auto insurance.
“Most importantly, we must find effective solutions to finally fix our roads and infrastructure. It is critical to enhancing safety and growing our economy.
“I also look forward to hearing directly from the people of Macomb County about their priorities and ideas to build a better Michigan.”
