LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Michael D. MacDonald, R-Macomb Township, was sworn in as senator for the 10th District on Wednesday during a ceremony at the state Capitol. Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Stephen J. Markman administered the oath of office.
MacDonald was joined on the Senate floor by his wife Lauranne, father Dan and mother Jan.
“It is a tremendous honor to serve the hardworking people of Macomb County in the state Senate,” MacDonald said. “My commitment to the people of the 10th District is to do my best to represent you, stand up for our commonsense values and focus on the issues that matter most to our state and our families. As we work to help attract new jobs and investment, I look forward to hearing from the people about their priorities.”
